Graph of my dive profile for Woodhouse reef, Red Sea

Woodhouse reef, Tiran strait.

26.5m for 45min, a light drift with plenty to look at on the way past.

Woodhouse reef is the third reef (from the Sharm end) of the string of four reefs stretching from the main land to Trian island. Like just about everywhere (seemingly regardless of distance) it is about 1 hour by boat to the dive site. The site has no moorings so it is a drift dive only.

As is normal (seemingly anywhere you put your head underwater in Sharm) the dive is filled with a multitude of fish and coral. This dive however our guide spotted a stone fish minding its own business on a patch of sandy floor. what a fabulous fish, you really had to look long and hard to be sure it was a real fish!
